Modern homes are filling up with household chemicals designed to eradicate germs from household surfaces, but how much is really known about the effects these have on the health of families? According to Shaklee, “from 81,000 chemicals registered with the EPA, only 20% of these have been tested for toxicity”. These chemicals have the potential to aggravate health issues such as asthma or eczema as well as other respiratory or skin conditions. After all, there has to be a reason for all the warning labels on the back of the bottles.
So why not consider cleaning with products that only contain natural ingredients?
With all natural ingredients there is clarity to what is inside the bottle, as well as many other benefits to making the change. Using non-toxic chemical cleaners not only leaves surfaces toxin free, it can also leave the air you breath cleaner and safer. Additionally, they are significantly better for the environment as a whole. Conventional household cleaners may eventually make their way into to water supplies, potentially polluting the environment, with natural cleaning products there is little danger of this. As the ingredients are naturally occurring, if they end up in our water supply they can be easily dispersed with little to no impact on the environment.
So, why not keep your home clean and look after your health, as well as protecting the environment by simply using natural alternatives?
